TDap shot ???

I got it at 32 weeks, felt sick for two days, not to mention the sore arm, which was awful because we have to lay on our sides.

I refused it because I'm a nurse all my vaccines are either up to date or my titers are high. I have bad allergic reactions to just about all vaccines. We give passive immunity to baby while in utero and if you breast feed you are also passing your immunoglobulins to baby. So no immunizations for myself or my husband!

I was sick for two weeks. I always have moderate reactions to all immunization a though. If it's listed as a possible side effect I will get it. But I'd rather feel icky for a few weeks and protect my self then not get it at all and risk my little not getting the antibodies. I have to wait until after birth to get my flu vaccine this year though because I can't have the flu shot at all. I have to have the mist and it's not safe for pregnancy.

The TDAP shot includes your tetanus shot (it's the "T") which is why your arm is sore - totally normal. The other two are diphtheria, and pertussis for whooping cough. You'll feel better in a day. A small ice pack might help.

My arm was a bit sore at injection site for a day or two. That was about it...not bad at all.

I felt a little meh for a couple days. Sore arm for 2-4 cant really recall and ran a little warm for about a whole day. DH on the other hand I swear he was going to lose an arm (he was due for his tetanus  anyways with working on metal roofs) he moaned and groaned about it for almost a week and a half. Also ran a little warm for about a day but barely.

I never get shots or take meds but I felt like this one was really important. My arm hurt so bad afterwards I couldn't sleep I got it yesterday and it still hurts pretty bad today. A few hours after getting it I had a slight fever and just didn't feel well. I feel fine this morning. I also just lost my mucus plug that had a little brown blood a few hours ago so I'm not sure I can nessisarily blame it on the shot?
