Sweep help / experiences ?

So I went for my midwife appointment yesterday at 39w+3d she said baby’s head was nicely engaged & gave me a sweep (cervix was nice & soft & she managed to stretch to about 2/3cm) I had loose stools as soon as I got home & after a couple of hours was having irregular contractions which were sore but bearable lasting about 30 seconds along with lower back pain & bloody / pink discharge.

The contractions eased off & I went to sleep , occasionally waking up in the night with the odd contraction / Braxton Hicks. Woke up this morning & went to the toilet & wiped this away after (extremely thick & lots of it)

What are your personal/ similar experiences ? Am I close to labour ? I’m having some period like cramping now.
