Do you go get baby if he wakes up but is happy?

My 4 month old will sometimes wake up from his naps happy in his crib. No fussing. Should I go get him? Or wait til how fusses since he’s happy? I don’t want to mess with him if he’s content, but I also think it’s good for him to see he doesn’t have to cry for me to get him. I hope that makes sense lol. Thanks!

They need the chance to be happy and content alone, and in the crib is the best time to do that. So long as baby is happy, I wouldn’t mess with baby until you want to get baby out or until baby gets restless, not necessarily crying and screaming. Listen to the cues.

I would let him be for a little while. Wouldn’t necessarily wait until he’s fussing. With my kids that could be a long time. LOL
