My mum thinks it's a waste of money??

My mum thinks it's a waste of money going in for an early gender scan but the NHS won't write down the gender for us (we asked), they only give me 20 minutes and said the appointment is to check on babys growth so if they're unable to find the gender then there's nothing I can do about it.
It's costing us 60 pound, do you think it's worth it?

I just got a private scan at 16 weeks and I loved it! Much nicer environment than an NHS hospital and you get loads of pictures, including 4D, to keep. It was well worth the money for me.

They do tell you if you ask. At my hospital they did anyway. We actually got it written in an envelope as my boyfriend planned a surprise

I found out the gender in my two pregnancies in this country during the normal NHS scan. They are trained sonographer, they usually find the gender. I also think it's a waste of money. But of you want it, get it done. It's your pregnancy and your money lol. So who cares about other people's opinions?

You can get cheap £39 scans at mothercare :) I don’t think it should matter whether your mother thinks it’s good value if you’re paying for it? It’s your baby :)

Highly recommend the private gender scan. We went to Window to the womb at 16 weeks and found out, they made the whole experience so special for us, worth every penny 😊
