What should I do?

Just found out that my boyfriend is a drug dealer...I’m in shock. We’ve been together for six months and I’m just now finding out about this. I don’t how to react to it...what should I do?

I’m not going to lie, when I first met my boyfriend we were both in highschool and he sold weed. When he told me, I told him that I was around people that sold drugs when I was younger and I didn’t want to be in that toxic environment again. I basically told him to get a job and stop selling it or we’re done.. not because I didn’t like him but because I could handle it. It brought back horrible memories from when I was younger (no I wasn’t abused or anything but I was around someone that sold and did drugs for a small part of my childhood and it was a horrible experience.) and I told him I wouldn’t put up with it. I didn’t talk to him for a few days.. I was letting him make a decision and later on he called me and told me he got a job. 3, almost 4 years later.. he has NEVER sold anything since the day I told him that. The thing is.. you can’t make someone change, he has to make that decision himself and decide what he wants. I was only with my boyfriend for 3 weeks when I told him that. My goal wasn’t to change him but I knew he was capable of so much more and I wasn’t capable of being with someone that sold drugs, my heart couldn’t take it. Honestly this is a decision you have to make, you can sit him down and tell him you’re not comfortable with it.. but ultimately the choice is HIS. I wish you luck girl.

If you’re not okay with that then break up with him. If that’s his only source of income you can’t force him to stop. 6 months isn’t long enough for you to be that strong of an influence either so you probably won’t be able to sway him. Just leave 🤷🏽‍♀️
