Question to the photographers

Anon

My maternity pictures are coming up, and I have a two different people taking my pictures, just Incase. (Different sessions of course)

Would it be rude if I reminded them to let me know if something looks ugly so I can fix it?

I don’t know if it would be considered rude or impolite to ask before pictures are being taken, and I know a photographer can only do so much with what they are given.

But I had a session done, where my face looked so awkward in almost every picture she gave me back and I wished they would’ve suggested I try smiling a different way. Or when my smile started looking forced, to try and give a break for a minute or two. I would rather have 10 great pictures, than 100 pictures that look like I hate my life.

And another session I had done, my hair looked weird in a lot of the shots, where if she would’ve just asked me to move it a little, it would’ve looked so much better, and it would’ve saved a lot of pictures. A lot of my friends even commented on it.

I don’t want to offend someone and make them think that I don’t think they know what they are doing (and obviously I would try my best not to sound rude about it) but I don’t want someone to feel uncomfortable with telling me I look hideous either and I want to let them know it’s okay to say something to me if I do.
