Is Everly too close to Evelyn?

My husband and I love the name Everly but my sister's daughter's name is Evelyn. My sister had planned on having Evelyn's nickname be Evie but she is 4 years old now and it never stuck. Would it be wrong to name our baby girl Everly and call her Evie? My sister and I are super close and I don't think she would mind at all but I want outsider opinions.

Personally I would double check with your sister to make sure she wouldn't mind. But if it wouldn't cause drama or hard feelings, then I'd say go for it. The cousins would probably love sharing part of their names. It'd be a special bond.

Pretty close in my opinion. Luckily there are plenty more names to choose from. I personally would never have anything similar to the names my sister chose for her children. And I would feel weird if my sister did that. But hey, if your sister is fine with it. Forget what I just said.
