So I’ve been trying to explain to my husband why it’s a lot easier for me to calm our little guy down because he’s been kinda frustrated and bummed out about it. I’ve told him that babies don’t know who or what a dad is until they’re a little older. Almost all day today I believe our baby was dealing with a bout of colic, but I was so tired that I had a mental breakdown so Patrick made me go into our bedroom and sleep and he took care of him. Apparently he was just crying and fussing for hours, only slept for about 3hours plus 20minute naps, and would fuss even while on the bottle. It would take Patrick a while to get him to calm down, but as soon as I held him, he calm down almost instantly. Patrick was like, “How did you calm him down so fast???” I told him it’s because I’m his momma. Our little dude is FINALLY asleep and I think it’s because I fed him, gave him some gripe water, swaddled him tight and cuddled him for a while. I think he just needed his momma 🥰 Anyways, what ages did your little one(s) recognize their dad? Also what age did they grow out of this awful colicky phase?
