Ftm having issues....

Hi everyone! I have a 6 wk old and he seems to be having issues falling asleep. Its seems like he is always fighting to not fall asleep. At night especially. Before I would keep a dim light on but that seem to make things worse so I shut off all the lights and it has helped a little. Sometimes I feel like he might be colicky so I give him gripe water or other colic drops that I have but they don’t seem to work. I also rub his back and put him on his stomach on my chest sometimes to rub his back but still little help. What am I doing wrong?? What should I be doing?
