Traveling with a toddler?!?

so we are leaving on vacation in like 2 weeks. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen a car seat on a plane but looking on The airline website my almost 3 year old is to be in her car seat when the fasten seatbelt sign is on... at least that’s how I take it. I thought most people checked the car seats. Who can help me out here I’m a little confused!

You can bring it on the plane, but do not have to. At their age, they need to be in their own seat (with carseat or not) and buckled when the light is on. We last flew in January. Bring lots of distractions.

I’m not sure if you left for vacation or not, but we always brought her car seat. My daughter is a wild child, and putting her in her car seat kept her from running around. She acted like she does in the car. Distracted by toys or a movie, knowing she can’t go anywhere because she’s in her car seat.

I e always hate checked mine... I now don’t bring one I rent one from the car rental company, that is if you’re renting a car.

Never check a car seat. Ever. The luggage handlers aren’t gentle and will damage the seat. 
Any child under 40 lbs needs to be in a car seat.

We just flew with my 2 1/2 year old and she wasn't in her carseat. She just sat in a normal seat buckled.
