When did you tell your work??

Just curious how long other people waited until they let their work know they were pregnant?? Im 11 weeks right now with my first baby. Had my 1st ultrasound everything was perfect strong heartbeat and due date they predicted was pretty spot on when they measured. Since then I've been more comfortable with sharing the news. My plan basically was to wait until it started to become more noticeable which would be quite a few weeks I'm sure if not more. I was just curious when everyone else broke the news to their work??

I told them at 8 weeks when I got hired because I wanted them to understand why I needed time off of work so often for my doctor appointments. They were very understanding.

I was around 13 weeks. I told my teaching partner at 7 weeks because I was struggling with horrible morning sickness and needed her to get my students one morning so I could be sick.

I told my managers around 18 weeks. But I work from home so I could have gone MUCH longer without saying something. But I wanted to set realistic expectations so they would stop assigning me projects that would take more time than I have to finish. I’m taking at least 8 weeks off so I also wanted to allow enough time for them to decide how to keep things going in my absence.

I told them when I was 18 weeks but only my manager and hr then told employees when I was around 22 23 weeks could gone even longer to be honest I only really popped at 26 weeks bur totally up to you

I had a good relationship with my manager and told her when I was only 6 weeks, she kept it a secret for me though and other people started finding out around 12 weeks
