Maddox lee born on 9/9

Erica
My baby born was born at 39+1. He was defiantly trying to be stubborn.. He is my third and I had quick deliveries with my other 2 so my Dr was going to induce me at 39 wks but he wasn't cooperating.. He hasn't even dropped into my pelvis so my Dr wanted to see me on Tues to see if he had dropped because she did not want to induce me unless he had so I had a less chance of csection. I had my appt and she checked me and still nothing so she did a quick ultrasound to realize his shoulder was in my pelvis instead of his head. She scheduled me to go into the hospital the next morning and hoping he moved head down or she would attempt to turn him and possible induce me.. We arrived at the hospital at 730 on 9/9. They hooked me up to monitors and my Dr arrived around 830 and did a ultrasound to see now he had flipped completely breech. She gave me my options and she set everything up to manually turn him.. Thankfully even tho extremely painful 30 min later he was flipped into position. We than began the induction process. Starting at barely a fingertip dilated, cervix barely soft and head not even engaged at about 12 we were expecting a long couple days.. By 2 o'clock I was dilated to 2-3 and my Dr decided around 3 to break my water hoping things to speed up.. I got an epidural around 4. I was checked around 5 with no real progress.. Than at 7 I was 5-6 cm.. The nurse kept coming in because his heart rate was dropping.. At around 815 she said she would be back at 9 to check me.. At about 845 I felt a lot of pressure and like I needed to push.. I just watched the clock trying to make it to 9.. She walked in at 855 checked me and I was a 10, completely effaced and he had dropped down all the way.. She ran to call the Dr and started setting everything up.. I didn't think my Dr was going to make it.. It was harder to keep my body from pushing than actually pushing him out..my Dr arrived at 905.. I pushed thru 1 contraction 3 times and my baby boy was born at 910 pm. Weighing 5 lbs 13oz 18.5 in. Extremely healthy.. Couldn't be happier with how everything turned out..
