Why are others so quick to judge a woman ttc in 40's?

Question

I am in my early 40's. Two miscarriages. Currently ttc. 
My question, I have heard many women say, "I would NEVER try to have a baby in my 40's", "At 40, you should be a  grandparent", "Why do you want kids this late in life", ......etc,etc. 
Im so tired of the negativity, the sour faces, and judgmental opinions that are tossed at me!
I know it can be harder to get and stay pregnant in your 40's, but seriously, why are people so quick to judge and toss opinions on this? 
I personally did not even think about having a baby in my 20's, I fought cancer in my early 30's, I am ready now, in my early 40's.  What is so wrong with that?!?? 
 -My question is, to the future mamas out there ttc in their 40's, what do you say/think to judgmental comments like this? 
How do you not let crush your goal of having a baby?

I turned 40 last Friday and my best friend (we are a grupo of 6 that know each other since we were 5) are all TTC now in our 40, some have kids two years ago but 3 are TTC number one. We all have a solid professional career and took us time to settle... we just don’t care about social pressure and we are just ignore people’s comment. I just replay saying that every one should care about themselves as no one know what the other has in her backpack. Good luck and don’t worry about such comments! You will be an excellent mother as you are already a super woman.

Listen to your heart.. I know how you feel, I got pregnant at 41 and got a lot of negativity, because of my age. I just told them it's not of their business, any pregnancy doesn't matter what age  you are, there is always risks..I followed my heart and had a excellent pregnancy, he is the love of my life..Be strong and lots of baby dust..👣👣👣🍼🍼

If someone told me I should be a grandmother at 40 I’d honestly laugh! I was in university for 6 years finishing 2 degrees, then I articled immediately afterwards to get called to the bar (what you have to do in Canada to practice as a lawyer). I finished all that by the time I was 26, and that was considered early in relation to my peers! There’s no way I would have dreamt of having children before that, and besides, I hadn’t yet met the right guy. I met my amazing dh at 35 and we had our first at 36 and that was just fine with me. We both travelled extensively and lived some amazing adventures before we met, and when we met we knew what we wanted and we were much wiser and financially stable than in our 20s. I’m not saying my approach is for everyone, but it was the perfect thing for me! So if you want children later in life, go for it! The only person you need to worry about making happy is you.

I had my first at 30. I think that every woman should do what she wants. If you had a baby at 40 is likely you gave it a lot of thought and lived fully so you will be an amazing mum :)

I’m 42 I’m TTc on my first. Every one has a different journey. That’s what everyone needs to understand. 
Yes it’s a little harder for us in our 40s but we are more mature and more financially stable. There is no perfect age for pregnancy.  
Don’t listen to negative people. Everyone is always going to have an opinion. You just need to tell people to mind their business. It’s your life.

Girl please!!🙄 tell them people to kick rocks! I get that too but I could care less! Do you!! It’s your journey not theirs! Peace and blessings! 🙏🏽🤞🏽it’s even crazier because my sister is a 4 time grandma and I have a 6 year old! My nephews son and my son are 5 months apart! 🤷🏽‍♀️

I hear negative comments but just brush them off and they no longer bother me. My situation is a little different. I was married young and had 3 kids in my early 20’s. that marriage failed (emotionally, mentally and physically abused), I finally left. I was prepared to stay single as I felt who would want me and my kids. Well I found someone else. We’ve been together for 13 years. We are currently expecting our 4 th boy together. I am 42. I get the “why would you have kids are your age?”, “why would you want more”. It’s my life not anyone else’s and I don’t judge anyone else’s choices. Ok, obviously I'm in my 40's and trying to get pregnant so I'm with you.
The thing is, I had a dark moment this winter that both my husband and I cried about. I have SAD so me crying over nothing just because it's winter isn't umheard of, though. I had thought about how the chances of downs syndrome increase as you age. How would I deal with that? If I was younger or had other children who could make sure their sibling was safe and loved throughout their life, it wouldn't be a question. But what will happen to a mentally disabled child after I'm gone? We don't have the money to set up funds for a lifetime. But even though I'm pro-choice and have no firm belief on when ensoulment happens, how dare I turn down the possibility of a child that God offers me after trying so hard? 
I've made peace with this and decided to keep trying, but when someone makes some weird, questioning comment now I'm a little more understanding.
