In Ariana Grande’s latest music video, she kisses a girl, but Ariana is straight as far as we all know. The song is called “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored”.
People on Twitter are accusing her of queerbating and perpetuating the stereotype that bisexual people cheat.

This is so dumb. Katy Perry has a whole song talking about kissing girls but Ive never seen her in a relationship with a girl. Why is everyone always giving Ariana Grande shit about everything she does? I feel like people just love to have someone to talk crap about even if they are reaching to do it.

I think what bothers me about this is that people are automatically assuming she’s straight. I think the LGBT+ community should know first hand that sexuality is something that can be very personal and private for some. Sometimes people don’t come out until they’re in their 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and so on. It’s not always obvious, and sometimes it “changes” when people discover more about themselves. Ariana Grande doesn’t owe it to the world to discuss her sexual orientation. So what if she kisses a girl? Maybe she’s straight, or maybe she’s not. I’ve seen a lot of straight people kiss the same sex. She doesn’t need to explain herself 🤷🏻‍♀️
And as far as the cheating bisexual stereotype thing goes, I wouldn’t say she’s perpetuating it.
