Ovulating and temperature?

How do they correlate? If your temp is high does that mean you are ovulating or about to ovulate? I need some clarification..

If you take your BBT at the same time every morning before getting out of bed your temp should stay around the same. When you zee it rise about a half a degree that means you are getting ready to ovulate
