Am I being ridiculous?

I need your opinion on this. Today my dad was slightly teasing me (trying to make me laugh) by singing a little song about a mistake I made (knocking over the dog’s water bowl). It was really getting me riled up and he knows that I hate when he does this. So I yell at him to stop and he keeps going. I avoid him for awhile, he then brings it up saying I was “overreacting”. I am on my period rn so I don’t know who is right. What is your opinion??

I think you should treasure your fathers teasing while he's alive. One day he'll be dead and you'll with to God you could hear him tease you one more time. Grow up and learn to take a joke.

Thanks for your opinions! He ended up apologizing and saying he took the joke too far, and as a result I apologized for overreacting a bit. We ended up understanding each other more. I really appreciate the community on this app! People aren’t afraid to say their opinion. Thank you again! :D

You feel how you feel. The last thing I ever wanted to be told is that I was overreacting. However maybe next time you should just calmly tell him you’re really not in the mood for it right now. (And I know how hard it is to be calm and nice to dads sometimes) He might be more likely to listen.

The intention behind a joke is to make someone laugh, it was making you upset so he should have stopped.  I don’t like jokes making fun of someone.  Not kind.

My dad purposely does things to get under his kids skins, cause that’s his job 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ including singing annoying songs to drive us nuts. 
I just appreciate the annoying ass comments because he’s my dad and idk what I would do without him. 🤷🏼‍♀️
