One twin bigger than the other?!

I am 13w 1d and I found out today that last week when I was 12w 2d at my ultrasound one baby was measuring 12w 4d and the other at 13w!! Anyone else have this happen and the babies were ok? They are fraternal so idk if they can have TTTS or not. Any help is appreciated!

Following cuz mine are measuring a week apart - one at 17 and one at 18 weeks. I’m technically 17 weeks with a percentile discordance of 86-15 ... so far no problems but following for any mamas who give input that are further.

I had this happen last Friday but the weight was just a oz a part. Once was 1lb 11oz and the other was 1lb 12oz. It's better when they are in separate sacs so they have better space to grow

One of my babies (Di/Di twins) ended up with IUGR and was born quite a bit smaller than the other one. They had to come a bit early as her growth slowed. So make sure they keep an eye on it and take your concerns seriously as it is something that can turn into a problem. Good luck with everything.

First of all, it can’t be ttts. Ttts only happens when twins share a placenta. You’re having fraternal so the chances of that are zero. Better yet, no one baby is measuring behind which is actually great. They’re just different babies entirely growing at different rates.

I’ve had one baby whose always been a week-ish behind. He was diagnosed with IUGR most likely due to marginal cord insertion at about 24 weeks. We’ve had weekly appointments since then to make sure everything is still okay. Im 32 weeks now and he’s still smaller than his brother, but he keeps growing, so that’s what’s important! One twin is likely going to be smaller the entire time. Doctors don’t usually get concerned until they drop below the 10th percentile. Baby B was actually in the 4th percentile at one point, but he’s back about the 10th now. It’s really hard not to stress. Everyone tells you not to, but of course you’re going to. Just keep the faith!

No, di/di twins cannot get TTTS. Mine were the same weight measurement to the gram at my 20 week ultrasound, and then one was 60th percentile and the other 70th percentile at my 24 week scan. My doctor was very happy with that and said as long as they're within 15 percentage points (I think... might have been 20?) of each other, they were normal.
