Gender reveal or not to gender reveal?

We got our results back from our genetic testing and have the option to find out the gender. I’m dying to know now but my sister also wants to throw me a gender reveal party which I also kinda want to do. My boyfriend will go either way on this with me so he’s no help. A friend suggested I find out now but still let my sister throw the party and not tell her I know. Is that horrible?

I found out with the NIPT test, haven’t told a soul told everyone I’ve got the results in an envelope and giving it to the party shop to make the balloons hahaha so everyone find out on the same day 🎊 I’m gonna do a gender reveal on husbands birthday this weekend :)

I did a gender reveal and I loved it! It killed me not knowing and having to wait cause I could have known earlier. The party and finding out in a creative way (it was just a cake 😂) it was a lot of fun. My boyfriend couldn’t be at the party because he’s deployed but I sent him a box and he’s beyond excited for it. He wanted it the box and everything. But either way is exciting because you find out what gender your baby is.

A gender reveal is really a reveal to the parents, everyone else should be happy for you either way - baby being a boy or a girl, the surprise is really for the parents. But totally up to you. I think wait for the reveal!

My SIL is throwing me a gender reveal as well. I know the anticipation is too much sometimes but I’m going to wait. I want to be surprised. It’s ultimately up to you but I would wait and enjoy your party.

You guys could go ahead and find out just the two of you and host the reveal for everyone else.. that way it’s just a private moment between you two but you still get the excitement of announcing it to others

It’s not horrible. It’s exciting to find out the gender and it will still be fun to have the party whether you know or not. So if you really want to, go ahead and find out!
