Too old? Or??

Question

Nervous about trying in my mid 30s to expand our family. I see so much about celebrities having healthy babies in and past their 40s. Medically or even personally, what are your thoughts and opinions about age and pregnancy???

I know this post is old but wanted to give my two cents. I had my first when I was almost 20. I would never do that again. I wouldn’t take anything for my daughter but it was so much work. I had my second at 34. So, so much better. The pregnancy was better and I was financially stable. I had my third at 38. Easiest pregnancy, delivery and recovery.  I appreciate my kids more now than I did when I was younger. I was just trying to make it day by day back then. I hope you see this and it helps ease your worries

There’s no age limit! I hate when people say that. It may be a little harder and higher risk but if you wanna try who is anyone to tell us not to. A baby is a blessing no matter what age imo.

I had my first at 36 and second at 38. Both were healthy and uncomplicated. I do think my recovery was a bit slower then some of my friends and colleagues who were younger, but I also couldn't see starting my family younger.

I dont think you are. As long as your SO and you are active and healthy I dot  see a problem. I had my first at 29 and I'm pregnant with my second at 31. Its a little later than a lot of my friends but not too late. My fiance is 42 though. But hes an amazing dad and very active with our daughter.  My aunt and uncle did t start until 40. I never saw her as old. My uncle always played in a band and they had all their priorities in line. Both their kids are out of college now. I think if it's what makes you guys happy go for it. Everyone is going to have their own opinion but that doesnt matter. What matters is what you guys want in life!!! Alsp.my fiances sister just turned 40 and they are trying for their first! Also both very successful and active I think they'd be perfect parents! So go for it!!!

I wish I got pregnant earlier. When I finely started TTC at 40, it was to late. Few month later I got my uterus removed.

I have a friend who's just had a baby at 41. From everything she's said, this pregnancy was harder than any of her others and she had a lot more scans as it was a high risk pregnancy- largely because of her age as well as existing conditions from previous pregnancies. 
For me, I had all 4 of mine before I was 30 as I wanted to be able to keep up with them when they were little! But I also understand that it's not always easy for people and that some women end up having babies later through no having no other choice. If you don't feel you're too old, then that's all that matters. What other people think is irrelevant.

I don't think there is an age limit. I am 33 year old and got pregnant on our first month of trying. I know a women in 40s who had her tubes tied because she thought she didn't want any more kids, but then she wanted one more. She had the reversal and got pregnant in no time. So this getting pregnant before 30 is a total myth, I would say.

Get a good check up from your doctor first to make sure you don't miss something that might affect your chances. Go for it!
