Can guys be friends with girls?

Question

So my boyfriend has the girl and they are friends. But I just have this weird feeling that he might like her more than a friend. He texts her and they have class together and I dorm in college but come home on weekends. I'm just wondering if I can trust him and if they are really friends. She has a boyfriend and he tells me when he texts her but sometimes I feel like he hiding stuff from me. Might be my paranoia thoug. I don't want to make a big deal out of it so I'm asking if I should worry about this or not?

IMO: Trust your intuition! You shouldn't have to question any of his actions/behavior if he has your best interest at heart.

Some guys can be friends with nothing else, but some can't. It depends on the guy. I have a guy friend who lives like 4 hours away and we've known each other since elementary. He's always had more girl friends than guy friends. And he's straight and married for several years now and he still has more girl friends .it just depends on the people involved in the friendship. My husband had to stop being friends with a girl that he grew up with because when we got engaged she started throwing herself at him. I had told him she liked him but he just saw her as a sister and thought she felt the same way about him. Then when she got SUPER obvious he quit talking to her. We were at a New Year's Eve party and she called him not knowing I was with him, wanting to crash at our house that night. I could here her, and when he asked me if she could she quickly changed her mind.

I feel that it is possible for guys to be just friends with girls. However, it does depend on the guy. I've known some who aren't capable of being it and others who very much are. 
I'd be very honest and open about how you feel with your boyfriend. It helped me in my previous relationship get over a similar issue.

Two different guys. My old best guy friend is 15 yrs older than me, I met him 17 yrs ago. I met Chris, my future husband, 2 yrs ago. I'm still friends with the guy I met 17 yrs ago, and consider him a very good friend. Chris will meet him soon, I hope, he lives in another state. Best wishes! My best friend is a guy. We've been best friends since we were 12. He's now good friends with my husband. I think you should be friends with her too if he doesn't want you to then maybe there is a problem. I do believe some guys can have girl friends and that be all. I've always had more guy friends than girls I guess because I am a tomboy and prefer to hang with the boys and do "boy" things lol

My best friend is a guy.  My boyfriend gets slightly jealous, but he knows I'd never cheat and it's never been an issue.  He says he only gets jealous at all because women seems to throw themselves at my friend (to a one date and they want to get married level it's crazy) SO doesn't get why me and my female best friend seem to be the only two not interested in the male friend like that.  I mean he's attractive yes, but he's not my type romantically and I'm not his.  We just click on all the platonic levels and i love him like my own family.
