October NICU mamas?
Little Leo decided to break his water last Sunday. I was 34w3d when it broke, and he was big enough that they decided to go ahead and deliver
He was still in breech position so I ended up getting a c section.
He came out screaming and screamed the entire time that the nicu team was working with him. Apgar of 7.
He went right to the nicu with my husband. Needed some cpap and Iv help. He's off cpap, Iv, and lights. Just the feeding tube is left. My milk came in on Friday after pumping nothing for 4 days. They're feeding him everything I can pump. The nicu is less scary now than when we started this. Because of the surgery I went for a day and a half without being able to visit and hold him. That was the hardest period.
He needs to learn how to bottle or breastfeed in order to come home. But he's doing well! Are there any other October mamas who are now nicu mamas?
