Right or wrong?

My son is 4 and visits his auntie (partners sister) every week. While he is there he sees his cousins and uncle. 
Recently there has been tension at the aunties house (between the husband, son & daughter and their partners) and we've have said to the auntie and uncle (when this has happened before) that we'd only let my son visit of the arguments stopped etc. 
but now the uncle has started being more violent and throwing things around the house, myself and partner have said we will not have our son go round there ever again, as they clearly did not listen the first time when we said about him visiting to them. But I know that the auntie, uncle and cousins will pull out the 'your stopping us from seeing him' card! 
Are we in the right as the boy's parents to stop him going all together?

I'm just sick of the Argo from that side of the family!

Extended family, technically, never have to see him. They have no rights to him.

Your child's safety is more important. If they can't control themselves and hold off on arguments until he's gone, they've no business having him in their company until they can control themselves and act like adults.

They are not his parents. If they want to see him they can be on their best behavior and visit you or meet at a park or something for play date

They are his aunt and uncle, YOU are his parents. Only you have the right to decide who he sees, and frankly I wouldn't want mine seeing that behavior either. My son doesn't go to my aunts house for that reason even though her kids are his age. Her husband is abusive and one morning while my son stayed the night they argued and she "tripped" and gashed her head open on the dresser. He was three at the time and 6 now and he still remembers it and talks about t every once in a while. I was so upset. That's when we all figured out what he was doing.
