Okay I just want to vent about something & pls no hateful/negative comments.

Ok so I’m a junior in high school & I’m an Indian. My boyfriend is not, he’s white. And we’re kind of getting more serious now. I want him to meet my parents but I’ve kept him in hiding for such a long time bc of them. This is going to sound really bad, but they expect me to marry or date someone of my own race. Which is not fair bc i can’t help who I like. They’re so traditional & I want to respect that, but not if they’re going to be racist about my boyfriend. I told my boyfriend about my parents & he’s so understanding & told me to take my time. But it’s just not fair to him that I have to hide him & sneak around in order to pursue a relationship. There’s not much I can do because since I’m a minor they can tell me that I’m not allowed to see him anymore.

I honestly don’t know what to do at this point. So if anyone has any advice on biracial relationships, please let me know. & once again no hate or negative commentary.
