Has anyone been diagnosed with Polyhydramnios: High Amniotic Fluid During Pregnancy?

I was recently dignosed with this and I do not have GD my baby boy is having some kidney problems I'm 32 weeks and he is already 5lbs 2oz and the doc is having me go to a prenatal specialist once a week till I'm 37 weeks for NST and US. I'm just wondering if any of you have this is it common am I over thinking stuff bc I'm stressing out about possibly my water breaking early or having to be induced early any feed back if you know anything about it would be great thank you ladies!!

I had it and my dr was a moron he was so nonchalant about everything I had no idea what to expect. I was huge and in pain all the time! I didn’t have GD either. My water wound up breaking at 35 weeks exactly. Once my son was born (he was 5lbs 2oz which earlier that week at an ultrasound they had said he was already over 6lbs) they found out he had a complete duodenal atresia (his stomach wasn’t attached to his intestines) and that poly is an indicator of that. He had surgery a day after he was born to fix it. I had multiple ultrasounds and it was never picked up. Now that’s not to say you’ll have the same experience! My friend also had poly and wound up getting included at 38 weeks her baby was totally fine! You should def ask your doctor if you have questions and try not to stress!! Are you getting NST’s done? I started them around 32 weeks they kind of helped put my mind as ease during that time!

I didn’t have high fluids but I did have low fluids with my first child. I’m not sure of what happens when fluids are high. I just know that with mine being low, I went for a normal appointment, my second to last one I believe they sent me right to labor and delivery and told me they had to induce me because if I waited I would end up having a very difficult and painful birth. Hopefully with everything goes well for you!

I do!! Was diagnosed at 33 weeks because my fundal height was measuring at a 36. In the first growth scan they noticed my AFI was 26.3. I was sent to a high risk doctor and at that ultrasound they told me that my numbers had fallen to 24.8 and that baby was in the 97th percentile. They then retested my glucose test and I passed both the 1 hour and the 3 hour. 
I’m now 36 weeks going for biweekly NST and ultrasounds and my AFI number has jumped to 29.8. My doctors have mentioned an induction at 39 weeks but nothing is set in stone. Just trying to keep an eye on the fluid numbers. 
In so much pain though from all the extra baby weight and fluid! And baby keeps going transverse so that’s always a good time too!

For the ladies that did or do have it are your AFI numbers rising? What is the highest mine went from an AFI of 25 to 29 and I'm now 34 weeks it should start going down but i feel it's going to keep going up

I got diagnosed with this at 25 weeks im 27 now. I dont know much about it yet but I go back at 28 weeks to get another ultrasound they just told me that they will be watching him but I'm hoping to find out more about it at my next apt.
