Flat head?

Anyone dealing with possibly a flat head  on LO? I'm pretty sure my daughter is getting one 😔

We have a little flatness starting on the right side. I try to put him on his left side as much as possible, sometimes I just can’t btw. I have increased the amount of tummy time we do, but honestly, I feel like usually it’ll work itself out. I feel like the helmets are pretty new, I just started seeing them the last few years... how many of us really have flat heads?!? Once they can sit up and gravity takes it toll, most of the unevenness will fix itself. At least that’s what I’m hoping!

My doc said my son's head is getting a little flat on his right because he favors that side. He suggested we (gently) manually turn his head whenever we see him looking that way. We've also been doing a ton of tummy time and chest-to-chest holding.

Try holding her as much in the day and tummy time, or even buy a bumbo seat. And use something soft for her head when she sleeps like a tightly folded blanket. My son had a flat head and when he was 7 months (able to control his head and strong neck muscle) his doctor made him wear a helmet until he was 11 months old to correct it. I’m taking all precautions now with my daughter so she doesn’t have to wear one too. The flathead is called plageocephaly and my son did helmet therapy 😊 he’s 2.5 and it’s still kind of flat but once they hit 2 their skulls are pretty much hard and the therapy won’t work, so he’s pretty much stuck with how his head shape is now.

My little girl has a flat spot in right side as she favours that side but doc isn’t too worried and says they usually sort themselves out but suggested more tummy time and changing her head the other way (she just moves back😂)
