Is it odd/rude to put items on your registry for both the new baby and their older sibling?

What I’m going to say is not meant to hurt your feelings. 
1- you shouldn’t be having another shower so soon. Comes off as selfish. 
2- if you put a toddler bed on your registry, you’ll be talked about FOREVER. As in- remember that chick that wanted a toddler bed for her shower? Omg. Lol.

Just have a baby sprinkle and ask for diapers and gift cards. That way you can get what you want.

I think that would be rude. Not to be mean but I see baby showers as a celebration of a new life and people like to buy gifts for the new baby. It's not something I'd do.

to clarify, Were having baby #2 two months before my son turns 2. He's currently still in a crib, but instead of purchasing another crib I'd like to move him to a toddler or twin bed. Is it rude to put the bed and bedsheets and such on the registry even though they're not for new baby?
