Did EPO help you dilate?

If you took evening primrose oil did it help your cervix thin or dilate? Or did it do nothing for you?

I used it with my first and had no issues with labour but there’s no way to tell what impact it had

I used it and went into labor 6 days early (with my first). So idk?! Definitely didn’t have a negative effect.

I’ve been using it for 2 weeks, both orally and vaginally.. I was checked on Wednesday and I’m barely a cm dilated.. so who knows.. I started inserting 2 capsules after that in hopes to dilate more so I am able to at least get a membrane sweep at my next appt

No. It helps soften, but not dilate. It can also make your water more likely to break. This happened to me with my first. I had been doing EPO vaginally since 36 weeks. My water broke and I started contractions with a super soft cervix, but 0 dilation. Labored for hours and made no progress. Had to get pitocin to make my contractions efficient enough to dilate me. 
I refused to use it with my second and third, and my labors were much easier and shorter when I dilated *before* my water broke.
