Anti C antibody in blood

Colleen • Mommy to two beautiful girls. One angel baby boy 👼 due with my third daughter October 22nd 💕

Anyone have an anti c anti body in their blood while pregnant? I just found out I have this. Apparently it can attack the babies blood cells causing the baby to be anemic . Of course I’m a nervous wreck. Please let me know if you have ever had this or heard of if

I have kell antibodies (same concept, just a different antigen). Currently going through my second isoimmunized pregnancy. Has your husband/so been tested for the antigen yet so that you know if baby has 0, 50 or 100% chance of being antigen positive?

I believe critical titers for C are 1:16 so as long as you stay below 16, they should just keep checking titers every 4 weeks and then every 2 weeks in the third tri. If you ever hit 16, you should either deliver or start weekly mca scans. Most doctors recommend delivery by 37-38 weeks for critical titers. Best of luck to you!

I’m anti body big C.. they said there is so little amount in my blood they are just keeping an eye on it as of now with bloodwork once a month to make sure my numbers don’t go up! Hopefully it stays that way!!

Also you’ll want to make sure you know if you’re anti little c or anti big C as there are two different ones depending on upper case or lower case

I recommend joining this Facebook group for support and info as a lot of doctors lack experience with this, otherwise feel free to hit me up with any questions. It’s usually a lot of extra appointments, but you can most certainly have a successful pregnancy.
