Implantation bleeding

Is implantation bleeding more of old blood or does it look just like af arrived?

I’m 10 days late cycle day 42 and I thought I finally started because After wiping I noticed a little bit of blood on the toilet paper so I inserted a tampon and a few hours later I went to change tampon and it was clean with only a drop or two of brownish blood on it.

Not sure if my period is just getting ready to come full blast and it’s just warning me or if this may be implantation? Not sure since I tested yesterday and got a BFN 🤷🏻‍♀️
