My midwife checks my fundal height every two weeks. I had ultrasounds every six weeks until I was 30 weeks, and every single one has aligned exactly with the due date I was given based off my LMP. However, ever since about 30-31 weeks, my fundal height has been about 2 cm under what it technically should be. My midwife says it looks like baby will be small, which will work in my favor with me trying for VBAC. My question is, how trustworthy are these measurements? Can I be absolutely sure that my baby is on the smaller side? Because my son was quite large. And I had an emergency c-section with him. So I’m looking for hope wherever I can find it.
