Do you have a birthday party for your child every year?

My daughters 3rd birthday is coming up, and I’m trying to decide what we’re doing. We have a couple family members close by (and their families), and a couple friends. For her first birthday we did a watermelon theme at the Lake. And last year we had an ice cream theme with a barbecue in the backyard with a blowup house. Even though I thought I was keeping it simple, it was still a lot of work. And either way it’s pretty small since we only have a small circle of people we’re close to.

Is it normal to do a party every year? I thought I’d see what other people do 😊
