My whole thing is- if your kid is vaccinated, why would you worry about them being around unvaccinated kids? Isnt the point of the vaccine in the first place to keep them protected? 🤷‍♀️

I’m not super vocal about it unless it comes up naturally. My family (both my side and husbands side) are very much on the same page thank god, but otherwise the few friends we have we’ve had small convos about here and there and nothings has changed our relationship. Most of my friends are respectful of our decisions as am I of theirs.

I’ve expressed it with my parents so they don’t go behind my back and have my children vaccinated (we’ve all been going to the same doctor since I was young, and they’re not strict on following protocol if they know you). I’ve purposefully cut family out of my life for openly disapproving of choices that I make for my children (they aren’t even heavily involved with my kids, they just like to voice opinions). I made the decision to also cut a bunch of friends out of my life as well, not because of differing views, just because they believe CPS should take your children if you don’t do whatever your doctor says, and they were all for forced immunization for everyone. The government should never have a say in anybody’s medical decisions, or threaten our right to informed consent, so I don’t feel bad about cutting people out that are for taking away free will. 🤷🏻‍♀️

When the doctor told my mom I refused (yes HIPPA violation), she got frustrated and cried. Brought up the cdc website and tried to "explain" why my daughter would need shots. Then I cried because I was mad she didn't understand I'm protecting her not hurting her- so I went home and she then sent my dad to come literally YELL at me telling me I would be a bad mom to not vaccinate and she would get a disease and it would be my fault. So I made him leave. Went to her next check up at 6 days old and my mom practically spoke for me that I would allow it. Vaccinated her all the way up until 6 months until she got an injury then I really put my foot down. Told them if they had an issue with my child no longer getting vaccines then they can stay out of our lives for good.

My in laws refuse to let out children together. Even for Easter. Even though we promised that we wouldn’t let them be too close, or share toys, or anything. It’s caused an awful divide in the family.

We haven’t even had our first kid yet & his family doesn’t agree. My family is all for It (except on sibling whose a nurse) and our friends don’t mind either. If people don’t want their kids around our future children then so be it.
