Baby engaged by 38 weeks?

Is it true that baby HAS to be engaged in the pelvis by 38 weeks for a successful VBAC or else the chances of uterine rupture are high?

No, your due date is a guess and lots of women go over their due date. Baby will come when it's ready. Go for a nice walk and do some lite squats. If the baby still hasn't flipped and is head up then try doing some at home flipping methods. Like putting your knees on your couch and kind of leaning down to the floor with your head down. Get in bed and get on all fours and rest your upper body on some pillows allowing your belly to kind of hang.

I've never heard that one before. I know some doctors will say you have to go into natural labor by 38 weeks if attempting a VBAC but that's not really true either.

I don’t think my kid ever fully engaged my pelvis until he was coming out. He sat so high my entire pregnancy. If he dropped, I didn’t notice it. 🤷🏾‍♀️
