Introducing Pacifier

So my LO will be two weeks old tomorrow.

We are EBF - planning to breast and bottle feed eventually but trying to hold off on the bottles per recommendations.

Last night I gave him a pacifier before bed when he was having some trouble settling down. Then I felt guilt, because if you’re EBF you’re “not supposed to” introduce them so soon.

He has a good latch and was able to feed last night with no problems.

Even as a second time mom with a three year old I’m still doubting myself. I nursed her for two years so shouldn’t I be more confident? I thought I’d gotten past this point and could make decisions without worrying about all the other noise. But I guess I’m not there yet.

Any other mommas out there give a pacifier this early? Still feeding fine? Just need some reassurance that I didn’t screw up our entire breastfeeding relationship last night in desperation 😂😂
