BBT first timer - thoughts?

This is my first time tracking bbt so I'm still new to it all. My temp spiked yesterday and is high again today along with my CM having an eggwhite appearance. Would it actually be possible to ovulate this early (day12)? My cycles are normally around 5 weeks long and last month I had a blood test confirming ovulation on approx CD30. Could i please get your thoughts on what might cause the temp spike and CM change if it's not ovulation?

I almost always ovulate on CD 12. However this cycle it seems like my body tried and failed and I ovulated on CD 19 instead. It happens. That’s why tracking and BBT is so helpful. You will start to know when you typically ovulate and then how long your luteal phase is (that will be the same every month, within a day). So usually I ovulate CD12 then 12 day luteal phase = 24.  This month I ovulated CD 19 + 12 day luteal phase = 31. So I won’t be “late” until CD33. I’m convinced that many women that think they are “late” just don’t know when they ovulated and really are not late.

You need at least one more temp to confirm it, but i often ovulate cd12. It’s in the normal range
