My daughter is currently breastfed, unfortunately I don't produce enough milk when I pump and I'm going back to work in May so I'll be introducing 1-2 formula bottles a day to my baby.

Both of my younger brothers had an allergy to the protein in cows milk but neither showed signs of it while breastfeeding (mum consumed dairy while breastfeeding both). One brother had it quite severe and would swell up and get hives just from coming into contact with dairy e.g. I kissed him after eating ice cream and he had that reaction within 30-60 minutes.

When first offering formula to my daughter what should I look out for in terms of an allergic reaction? What time of day should I offer it? If anyone mix feeds when do you offer formula (I'd like to breastfeed when she's with me)?
