So I have been feeling off since having my baby boy on the 6th of March and have been too and from the hospital and the doctors.

On Saturday night I started shivering like crazy and felt so so cold and wrapped myself in blankets but my partner said I was boiling, I told him to call and ambulance as I knew something was seriously wrong. When the paramedics came they said my heart rate was 150 and my temperature was 40 and I was marking for sepsis so needed to rush me in. After sending loads of bloods off and swabs to find out what was going on they eventually decided to send me for an ultrasound of my womb and found leftover tissue which was clearly the source of infection.

Went for a D&C this morning and they found leftover placenta. I can’t believe this was missed and I have been so unwell from it and it has got to the point where I now have to stay for another 48 hours as the infection has got that bad. I just want to be better and able to look after my baby boy, he is a month old on Saturday and I have been unwell all that time, an absolute nightmare 😭
