They really are nice if your baby sleeps in the same room as your changing table. Who wants to sleep next to a stinky trash can? We have the Ubbi and it’s wonderful because you honestly can’t even tell it’s there when you walk into my sons room. Out of your options I would either buy the Ubbi or Dekor because you can use regular bags, but I wouldn’t buy the diaper genie because you have to buy special refills, which can get costly after a while. The nice thing about the Ubbi is that it’s steel so it doesn’t absorb the smell. I will admit that when my son poops we empty the diaper into the toilet, then throw the empty diaper into the pail and it cuts down on smell. The main reason we do it is because poop isn’t supposed to go into landfills. Once things get buried in landfills they almost get preserved, so they don’t decompose properly. We used cloth diapers as long as possible (until they could no longer contain my sons pee) and the Ubbi worked great for those as well, using the Dekor cloth diaper pail liners inside of our Ubbi. Now we use disposable diapers and we buy the cheap Kirkland brand trash bags.

We have a Dekor and love it. It’s nice because you can use a regular trash bag or their refills for it and when you’re done with diapers, it converts to a regular trash can 👍🏼

I had the Dekor and initially liked it, but once baby was on solids and "real poop" yes it would keep the odor out of the room, but as soon as you'd go to change the bags, oh boy. .....so bad. You either have to change the bags often (not economical) or let it get full and disgusting. I've since used a regular bathroom sized trash can with small bags or I reuse ones from the store. If it gets full or with poopy, it goes to the regular trash can or the garage. It is no more of a hassle than the pail.

We bought the safety first, it's super cheap (same as a trash can) and if you get charcoal instead of the odor disc it comes with!

I can’t stand letting poop diapers fill one of those up (they are sooooo smelly when you finally take them out). We live in an apartment with a trash chute so we just have a small trash can and take it out frequently (at least once a day). It probably depends on your situation and how often you think you will empty it.
