Doppler’s?

What is everyone’s favorite baby heart Doppler?  I’m 11 weeks today and bc I don’t have insurance I won’t have an ultrasound til I’m 19 weeks. So to ease my heart and mind. I’m looking for a Doppler so when I get nervous I can hear my baby’s heartbeat. Any suggestions?

I bought the Sonoline B Doppler and I use it every day and I absolutely love it! At first it is difficult to get used to finding the HB but once you figure it out you are golden! 🥰

I dont know if a doppler that early will help ease your mind or make you worry. It can be tricky finding the heartbeat sometimes, especially so early. Just a thought, do whatever you feel is best.

I bought one (SonolineB) and it was a waste of money in my opinion. I couldn't find the heartbeat consistently until around 15 weeks. If I couldn't find it, I'd worry. By the time it was useful, soon after, I started feeling kicks anyway. I'd pay a low cost clinic to do it vs paying for a doppler, personally

I’d spend that money on a private NT ultrasound scan or even a Harmony Test around the 12 week mark as that’s actually a beneficial medical exam, unlike a home Doppler. It’s an absolute disgrace that your insurers won’t fund it as that’s the only time that you can accurately do certain tests so nobody should be forced to go without because the insurer is cost-cutting. I would always ensure I got one even if I had to pay for it although luckily I live in Europe and have as much free healthcare as I need. Dopplers don’t tell you anything useful as they’re hard to work (most people end up listening to their own heartbeat) and they should only be used by someone who is trained and only on rare occasions. The FDA is against them as hearing a heartbeat doesn’t not mean your baby is ok so you can’t just rely on that and they apply heat to the foetus which should be avoided unless it’s necessary and particularly in earlier pregnancy as there may be a slight health risk :) x
