So I’ve been seeing TONS of shit posts about how white men are trash basically. Like I get that when it comes to the justice system, white men get off way easier in a lot of cases than other men of color. True and big problem that should absolutely be talked about. And the white men shooters and bad white cops, yes that should be talked about as well, absolutely! AND the white men in power abusing that power, yes let’s talk about that.

I’m not talking about all that though- it seems people are going overboard like I saw one woman post something basically saying she is afraid of white men bc her ex husband was abusive and he was white, and men of other colors she’s had no problems with (though has never been in relationships with)... that is her personal experience though... but she wasn’t talking as if it was personal experience, she was trying to tell people this is what YOU should think too.

I have been sexually assaulted by a black man, beat and robbed by a Mexican man (who got barely any jail time), almost raped by a middle eastern man, AND physically abused by a white man.

I guess what I’m trying to say is why are we suddenly trash talking only white men and acting as if all other colors are so innocent. There are good men and bad men, and toxic masculinity is a major root of the problem, so why are we bringing skin color into it at all unless we are directly addressing systematic racism?

*I never said the things I listed above about white police brutality etc. is shit posting, those are the real things to be talked about as I said. I’m talking about the “white men are trash, you should be afraid of them and not others colors” etc. posts, that I do see a lot of, and they mainly have to do with how they treat women. Sorry if I didn’t make that clear.
