Sleeping in swing?

So my newborn preemie is restless in her bassinet. Tosses and turns and wakes up a lot and we aren’t getting much sleep at night because of it.. But during the day she sleeps all the way through to her next feeding in her swing.. I know we’re really not supposed to let them sleep in their swings, car seats etc. but does anyone let their little ones sleep in them anyways? My mom said that she let all of her kids slept in swings and car seats but I’m a little paranoid.
