Baby registry?

Have any of you lovely ladies started or baby registries? If so where at? What are some key essentials to put on them?

Babylist lets you combine Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc. I really like using it. It also has checklists and suggestions. I found several good checklists on pinterest, too. So I made a list based on the different pinterest lists. :)

I wanted to do buy buy baby but it isn’t very accessible for a lot of people and when I had my wedding shower people like to go into the physical store and shop. So I did mine at Target and amazon for those who don’t care and like to shop online and have prime.

I started one on Amazon. How did yall decide what to register for on Amazon vs Target?

I found guests had a hard time using Babylist just FYI, and so did many of my friends who used it. 
Definitely include the big things you want that people can go in on (baby monitor, car seat etc) and smaller essentials you will need right away (crib sheets, infant thermometer, wearable baby carrier). It’s also good to think of things you will need as they get older: toddler cutlery/dishes, potty training seat, etc. 
There are some thing I would maybe consider NOT including on your registry unless there is something very particular you wants: 
Baby Clothes—people want to pick out their own stuff they think is cute or relates to them 
Receiving blankets, burp cloths or bibs—I got about 100 of both  I think for same reason (people see cute ones and grab them) i only used a few blankets (and she was a winter baby), I didn’t need that many burp clothes and actually ended up using 0 bibs (but that’s just me)
Baby books—people like to pick out their own. 
Baby soaps etc—I had registered for the aveeno baby set (which I’m glad I got...love!) but received basically every other brand too (dove, johnson&johnsons, Burt bees etc) it has been cool to try other ones but I think we will be set on baby soap until our oldest daughter is 5. 
But I have a huge family and many friends, so was fortunate enough to have a lot of love and help from people.

Diaper bag
Diaper pail
Changing pad
Baby bath/bath accessories 
Nursing cover
Nursing pillow
Bottles
Baby carrier
Nose Frida
Play gym
Baby monitor set
We’ve already bought some of the bigger items ourselves so that’s why there’s no crib, travel system, etc. on ours.
