Breastfeeding and birth control?

Hey all my second son will be due soon and I was really thinking about birth control afterwards but I was wondering if it's possible to breastfeed while on the pill.
I forgot to ask my OB today at my appointment so I was curious if anyone on here had any experience to share?

You can take the mini pill while breastfeeding, but not the combination pill.

You can do the mini pill which is a progesterone only pill. It’s pretty strict on taking it on time though

It is possible. I took the mini pill while nursing.

Like the others said you’ll only be able to take the mini pill. Keep in mind you have to take that pill at the EXACT same time every single day for it to be effective
