Can I just ask?

Question

So I have 2 really dumb questions but honestly why I’m asking is because I’ve never taken care of a newborn so I know very little. If you could please help. 
1). When you’re out and about how do you warm a bottle up (let’s say you formula feed) Some people I know use warm water in a sink.. but what if you can’t get to a bathroom, microwave, or a bottle warmer?
2). Where in the car should a car seat go. Drivers, middle, or passenger seat? 
Ps. I know these are stupid ass questions but I have my first child in 12 days so I’m trying to learn whatever I can.

I never heat up bottles bc water used is room temp. It’s really for those who have breast milk that was kept cold.
Middle rear facing bc having seat on sides can be dangerous for side airbag deployment

These are not stupid questions!! You can put water in a thermos/flask (but a new one so it’s just used for baby) and have it at the temperature you want so ready to pour into bottle. Or if you’re at a cafe they’ll give you a cup of boiling water and you can sit the bottle in that for a while. Or depending on temperature you want the bottle at (can play around with ratios) I have 3/4 cold and add 1/4 boiling water. 
Most people do car seat behind passenger (easier access for roadside parking ect).

My son started out breastfeeding but we had to switch to formula. He gets cold or room temperature bottles and doesn’t mind one bit. Just a side note, I’d never use warm water from a sink because that water is coming from your hot water tank...and if you’ve even seen the inside of one you’d know why. They have a ton of sediment that’s in the bottom of the tank. Wouldn’t want babe drinking that stuff.

I've always just given my daughter room temperature bottles when we're out and about and I've always been told in the middle is the best spot for the baby

I don’t bottle feed. But normally there’s a parents room to heat bottles ect. Also. I think people normally use those thermal pockets in the nappy bag to keep them warmer for longer. :) If yours doesn’t have them. I know you can buy them separately.
I put my sons car seat on the passenger side so I can see him when I drive. Also because it’s safer when getting him out since it’s not the “road side” where the traffic is. 
But I’ve heard it’s safest in the middle depending on what car you have because if there was ever a crash, the baby wouldn’t ever get direct impact which makes a whole world of sense. 
I’m just about to have my 2nd though. So now we have a car seat on either side. It’s really up to preference. :)

If at a restaurant you can ask for some hot water so you can warm the bottle or even room temp is ok as for the car seat the safest place is in the middle cause of side impact crashes the center middle is the recommended spot and if you go to the fire department or police station in most if not all states will make sure your car seat is properly installed

Second question in the classes I was taking through kaiser say middle is best.

Honestly there’s no need to warm a bottle. Room temp is 100% fine. And your car manual should actually have that in it. If not I think in general the middle is the safest but don’t quote me on that one. My lo is behind the drive seat but that’s where mine said put him.

I’ve always kept my son in the middle. It’s supposedly the safest and he’s our only child so we’ve been able to keep him there. It’s always been easy to get him in because you can sit on the seat next to him while buckling and access easily from either side.

Those aren’t dumb questions at all. 
I kept hot water in a thermos and always brought an extra cup to warm up my son’s formula. I used the Contigo type thermos they keep water very hot for a long time but I’m sure any thermos will do. 
Middle back seat is the safest.
