Hey all, I wanted to see if anyone else’s doctor saw an “echogenic focus” in the heart on your baby’s anatomy scan. We had ours on Monday, 18 weeks 1 day. Apparently this is a spot that shows up on the heart due to calcification/mineralization. When found along with other abnormalities it could indicate something genetically wrong with the baby. But everything else was normal, we did the genetic testing at 10 weeks and everything came back normal, lowest risk. No further testing needed. So our doctor basically said she was telling us bc she has to but it doesn’t mean anything is wrong with our baby. I believe and trust her but am just wondering if anyone else has heard this news in current or past pregnancies. I don’t like that it’s there!!!
