Whats the rule on highlighting your hair? I have MAJOR roots and Im 8 weeks. Is it too soon and dangerous? Im going crazy!

I was told to wait out the first trimester for coloring, after that it's fine. Highlighting is better because the chemicals don't sit on your roots like regular hair color does.
