Anyone with low ferritin levels have complications in pregnancy?

Question

I just got bloodwork back saying my ferritin levels were low at an 11. 
I’ve always been iron deficient and have had two miscarriages. 
I wonder how related low iron levels could be to miscarriages and complications in pregnancy.
Anyone relate?

I was a 4 and because of it I would have fainting episodes so now I do weekly iron transfusions it’s helping a lot it’s $145 each time but it’s worth it .

I don’t have a colon so my ferretin stays low and I have to get iron infusions with a hematologist.  I’ve gotten then for the past 7 years.  She said they are not safe in the first trimester.  If you can absorb iron orally that would probably be best for you.  I would recommend consulting a hematologist just to be safe.  I also have a history of miscarriage and got an iron infusion my last pregnancy before I knew I was pregnant, I miscarried. Don’t know if it was related or not but I’m not taking a chance this time around.  Also if your hemoglobin and hematocrit were normal, then much less to worry about. When those start dropping they have to keep a closer eye on things
