When should you start your nursery?

So we already have crib and dresser but will be painting it, however, we’re putting baby in the room closest to us so we’re moving our boys to a different room. When would be a good time to do this? I feel the sooner the better but after 3 of my cousins experienced losses at around 20 weeks in the last two years I’m kind of nervous. I’m 15 weeks right now

I would do it sooner rather than later so the kids don't feel like they're being pushed aside for baby.
For my just turning 3 year old, we are taking her old crib and dresser for baby and getting her a new bedroom set but she's keeping her room. At the same time, we're decorating her room (bedding, wall sticker, etc) with unicorns (one of her favorite things) so she sees it as a cool upgraded and not that we're talking her things from her to give them to baby. We're doing the change in April for her birthday well before baby is due.

I read something that said transitions (mostly from crib to big kid bed, kind of the same idea!) for big siblings should take place no later than 3 months before the baby comes! Otherwise they associate it with the new baby! 💛

I am 18 weeks and I just moved 2 bedrooms around. After we find out sex next week, i am potentially switching the other kids rooms. That way with the switching/moving done, i can concentrate this summer on babys furniture.

I say start when you feel comfortable to do so. It's very much a personal decision.
Personally, we have already started rearranging the office to be our son's room. Mainly because I don't want to be big pregnant and having to build, hang up, or move anything around.
