Honestly, I think I would mispronounce the name with either of those spellings.  What about Bodey? (I thought Body at first,  but then people will pronounce it like the word "body".) Similar to Cody or Brody. Just a thought!

Bow as in bow down, or bow as in bow and arrow? I’m guessing the second, but Bowdey reads like the first to me...

Very unique, cute name! I would also suggest Bodie, or Bodey? But I think Bodhi is closer to your pronunciation than Bowdey. Just my two cents!!
