My boyfriend doesn't want me to cut my hair.

I've been thinking about cutting my curly hair into a pixie cut for years now, my boyfriend doesn't want me to cut my hair shorter than my ears because he doesn't want to "look like hes dating a guy and that he would be less attracted to me because I'd look like a guy" we've been arguing about this for an hour now and I'm so sick of it. He literally doesn't want me to cut my hair short because he wouldn't want to look at me and think I look like a guy cause my hair his short, or that other people would judge him for being with a guy that looks like a guy or whatever. I need outside opinions. Because guys should just never let their hair get past their ears if thats the case.
